Dungog Shire Council is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support senior leadership with high‑quality financial advice and asset accounting focus. You will translate complex data into clear, practical guidance to inform budgeting, reporting and decision‑making across the organisation.

Based in local government, the role involves partnering with service areas to deliver on the Community Strategic Plan and Long‑Term Financial Plan, with a 19‑day month and a salary of 101,717–114,418 AUD plus

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience providing financial advice to senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and public sector reporting.
• Specialist knowledge in asset accounting, including asset recognition, revaluations, depreciation and capital accounting.
• Proven ability to analyse financial information and translate it into clear, practical advice.
• Experience supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and audit processes.
• Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
