Job summary

Randstad partners with a Brisbane-based not-for-profit to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for a 3-month temporary assignment with potential extension. The role is based in the Brisbane CBD with occasional travel to Cairns at the organisation's expense.

You will report to the CEO, lead financial operations, governance and statutory reporting, and provide strategic financial advice to the Board. The position requires a strong background in budgeting, forecasting and payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting and statutory reporting.
• Experience in not-for-profit or government sector is highly regarded.
• Strong accounting and payroll systems experience (MYOB preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial advice and reporting to CEO and Board of Directors.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial projections.
• Manage end-of-month and end-of-year financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare and lodge statutory returns including BAS and FBT; manage grant acquittals and compliance with funding bodies.
• Oversee payroll processes, controls and compliance frameworks.
• Review and strengthen internal financial controls across the organisation.
