Job summary

Randstad partners with a not-for-profit based in the Brisbane CBD to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for an initial 3-month temporary assignment with potential extension.

You will lead financial operations, governance and statutory reporting, reporting to the CEO and Board, and drive budgeting, forecasting, audits and controls in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and statutory reporting.
• Not-for-profit or government sector experience is highly regarded.
• Strong accounting and payroll systems experience (MYOB preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial advice and reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial projections.
• Manage end-of-month and end-of-year financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare and lodge statutory returns including BAS and FBT; manage grant funding acquittals.
• Oversee payroll processes, controls and compliance frameworks.
• Review and strengthen internal financial controls across the organisation.

About our client: Randstad is pleased to be partnering with our client, a dedicated not-for-profit providing valuable services to communities across Queensland. Based in the Brisbane CBD, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on an initial 3-month temporary assignment with the potential to extend.

About the role: Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the organisation's financial operations, governance, and statutory reporting. Your duties will include:

• Providing strategic financial advice and reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors
• Leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
• Managing end-of-month and end-of-year financial statements and coordinating external audits
• Preparing and lodging statutory returns including BAS and FBT Managing grant funding acquittals and compliance with funding bodies
• Overseeing payroll processes, controls, and compliance frameworks
• Reviewing and strengthening internal financial controls across the organisation

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and statutory reporting
• Prior experience within the not-for-profit or government sector is highly regarded
• Strong accounting and payroll systems experience (MYOB preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High level of cultural awareness and respect for diverse community services
• Ability to hold or obtain a valid Blue Card and National Police Check
• Full and unlimited Australian working rights
• The ability to commence within the next week
