Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Finance Manager for a growing film, media and production business in Melbourne. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, business partnering and multi-entity group accounting, working closely with the CFO and CEO to support growth.

You will own month-end close, consolidate entities, manage the group bookkeeper, facilitate audits and BAS/GST compliance, and contribute to financial modelling for new loans.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting foundation including month-end close and reconciliations.
• Experience with consolidations across multiple entities.
• Experience with auditors and tax advisers; BAS/GST knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling.
• Clear communicator to engage senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and core financial reporting.
• Manage group bookkeeper and train on accounting practices.
• Support production accounting where required.
• Maintain consolidated accounting practices and inter-entity loans.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for business units.
• Engage with external auditors on audits.
• Support consolidation of tax returns with advisors.
• Oversee group treasury and cash planning.
• Assist with loan financing processes and reporting to stakeholders.
• Help build new finance systems and processes.
