Job summary

Pullman Cairns International is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the hotel’s financial strategy and performance within a premium property setting in Tropical North Queensland. You will partner with the General Manager and senior leaders, driving profitability and strong control environments across all finance functions.

The role requires CA/CPA qualifications, extensive hotel finance experience, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for owners and executives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within a hotel environment. Previous hotel experience is essential.
• CA or CPA qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Strong understanding of hotel systems, financial processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Opera Cloud, Sun System, Zambion Payroll and PurchasePlus is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hotel leadership to optimise revenue, cost control and profitability across all departments.
• Lead month-end processes, reporting to General Manager, Accor and ownership.
• Prepare monthly owner reports with clear insights into performance, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with Accor standards and statutory obligations.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing and stock controls to support operations.
• Develop and coach a high-performing finance team aligned to hotel objectives.
