Job summary

Contour Education is seeking a Financial Controller to own the numbers, systems, and processes across multiple campuses. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage the finance team and drive automation, AI, and data-driven insights to shorten close times and improve forecasting.

You'll lead audits, strengthen controls, and partner with cross-functional leaders to scale the finance function for national growth in a hybrid Melbourne setup.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA (or equivalent) with Australia work rights.
• 7+ years in financial control, management accounting or senior finance.
• Experience in scale-up, multi-site or service business is preferred.
• Proven ability to automate or rebuild finance processes using tools.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close across entities, with tight timeliness.
• Produce executive packs with variance commentary and forward view.
• Lead audit preparation and intercompany reconciliation and eliminations.
• Maintain internal controls and documentation across campuses and entities.
• Own short/medium-term cashflow forecasts and working capital.
• Oversee day-to-day banking relationships and covenant reporting.
• Lead financial integration of new entities and day-one readiness.
• Redesign processes with automation and AI, build self-serve dashboards.
