Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking an APS6 Environment and Release Manager to join a Federal Government client across NSW, VIC, QLD, TAS, SA, WA and NT. The role coordinates complex release activities, develops detailed technical schedules and status reports, and aligns testing and engineering teams.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships, support release governance, and ensure adherence to ICT Change processes, security requirements, and SDLC principles in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication with stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to analyse release data and improve processes.
• Organisational skills for coordinating multiple releases.
• Experience planning, executing, and managing software releases.
• Experience with release management tools.
• Cross-functional coordination with developers, testers, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain release management processes across applications for multiple portfolios.
• Develop and maintain detailed release schedules and status reports.
• Plan and manage environments in collaboration with testing and engineering teams.
• Contribute to release governance and regular release forums.
• Produce Release, Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
• Engage delivery partner teams and vendor interfaces in release activities.
• Ensure compliance with ICT Change Management, security, and Go/No-Go gates.
