Job summary

Catholic Education Tasmania is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join the People Services team. Reporting to the Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide specialist advice to schools and corporate services across employee and industrial relations matters, helping leaders create positive, safe and effective workplace environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Employment Law or a related discipline.
• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
• Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence.
• Accreditation A or willingness to obtain accreditation to work in a Catholic School.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-level employee relations and human resources advice to Principals, leaders and managers across CET.
• Partnering with Principals and senior leaders on complex employee relations matters and organisational initiatives.
• Interpreting and applying the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement, employment legislation and workplace policies.
• Managing and supporting complex employee relations, industrial relations and workers' compensation matters.
• Assisting with the preparation of matters before the Fair Work Commission and other employment tribunals.
• Coaching and developing leaders to build capability in people management, workplace relations and employment practices, including presenting content at regional senior leadership meetings.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of People Services policies, processes and strategic initiatives.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective people outcomes.
• Supporting continuous improvement through analysis, reporting, project work and organisational initiatives.
