Campbelltown City Council is seeking a strategic Economic Development Lead to drive place-based growth across the Campbelltown LGA. You will shape programs that support local business, attract investment, and build a resilient workforce, collaborating with Council, industry, and education partners.

The role sits in the Social Outcomes and Place team, influencing placemaking, precinct activation, and policy. A dynamic, flexible workplace supports your growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (land use planning, urban/regional planning, economics, economic development, public policy) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in planning, delivery and evaluation of economic development projects/policies.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement including small businesses, developers and chambers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop economic development policies and strategies.
• Provide strategic advice on economic development matters.
• Lead business engagement activities including workshops and capability-building.
• Drive activation initiatives with stakeholders and reporting.
• Conduct economic research and analysis to inform Council strategies.
