Job summary

Supercheap Auto is seeking a Demand Planner to drive inventory performance across stores and online. You will forecast demand across categories, analyse sales trends and external factors, and partner with Category teams to align forecasts with merchandise plans.

You''ll manage replenishment planning, place purchase orders, and address slow-moving stock while collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, forecasting or analytical roles within Retail, FMCG, Supply Chain or Merchandise environments.
• Strong analytical capability with a passion for interpreting data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Commercial acumen and a focus on balancing inventory optimisation, customer experience, and financial outcomes.
• Experience with SAP, JDA (Blue Yonder) or similar planning systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Forecast end-to-end demand across categories, including base sales, promotions, new product launches, and opportunities to ensure optimal stock across channels.
• Analyse sales performance, market trends, seasonal patterns, and external factors to provide insights for commercial decision-making.
• Align forecasts with merchandise plans by partnering with Category teams and reviewing post-promotional performance to improve accuracy.
• Manage replenishment planning and inventory levels, place timely purchase orders, and address excess or slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline processes.
