Job summary

Linktree is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Office of the Founders, to partner with executives and forecast company direction. You will model revenue growth, test bets, and create accountable plans while staying hands-on across the data stack.

You’ll work 3 days per week in Melbourne or Sydney and 2 days from home, reporting to the Office of the Founders and influencing leadership with rigorous analysis and clear recommendations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data science or analytical experience in a high-growth tech company.
• Experience shaping strategic direction with founders and executives.
• Built driver-based forecasts or operating models.
• Hands-on with SQL and a modern analytics stack; able to build pipelines and datasets.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or related discipline.
• Able to hold a clear point of view with senior stakeholders and adapt when the data says so.
• Thrive in ambiguity and be the first to tackle new questions.
• Willing to work 3 days per week in Melbourne or Sydney offices.

Responsibilities

• Help founders and executives shape strategy by identifying opportunities and framing questions.
• Assess strategic investments, quantify trade-offs and recommend actions.
• Define success measures with Finance and leaders and track outcomes.
• Build datasets and models that quantify company performance.
• Influence executive and board decisions with clear recommendations.
• Raise analytical standards with best practices in metrics and forecasting.
