Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Senior Analyst (Planning and Performance) to lead performance reporting, data management and planning initiatives that support departmental objectives and continuous improvement.

The role collaborates with regional executives, directors and central office stakeholders to establish information systems, undertake complex analysis and present statistical data to inform decision-making. Emphasis on data quality, evidence-based practices and regional planning.

Qualifications

• Blue Card or ability to obtain a Blue Card prior to commencing in this role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain data management information systems for high level performance reporting and analysis.
• Assist in strategic and operational planning, providing high quality reporting and data extraction.
• Review and analyse systemic trends using multiple data sources and provide authoritative advice with recommendations.
• Support staff to understand and use demographic, socio‑economic and human services data for planning and service delivery.
• Promote data quality and information management practices across the region.
