Job summary

Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive for Corporate & MICE. You will identify and secure new business across corporate and MICE markets while expanding existing accounts to boost room nights, meetings and events revenue.

Collaborating with Sales, Conference & Events, Revenue and operations, you will contribute to the hotel’s sales strategy, market growth and achieving revenue targets in a dynamic Sydney market.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in business development, hotel sales, corporate sales, MICE sales, account management or related sales role.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new Corporate and MICE business.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
• Build relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
• Grow existing accounts and reactivate dormant and lapsed accounts.
• Prepare proposals and quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
• Assist with Corporate and MICE tenders and RFPs.
• Negotiate commercial terms to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Develop business across the Sydney Airport precinct and wider Sydney market.
• Attend networking events, trade shows, exhibitions, sales missions and client functions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, account profiles and sales activities.
• Work closely with Sales, Conference & Events, Revenue and operational teams.
• Achieve individual sales, Corporate room-night and MICE revenue targets.
