Job summary

Ramsay Health Care in Sydney is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Manager to partner with senior leaders, shape compelling narratives and provide strategic advice that strengthens Ramsay’s reputation across our business priorities.

Reporting to the General Manager Communications, you’ll lead communications for allocated business areas, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a complex healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs or issues management.
• Proven experience advising senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent writing, storytelling and strategic planning skills.
• Experience managing media activity, sensitive issues and reputational risks.
• Strong judgement, collaboration skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on communications opportunities, stakeholder engagement and reputation.
• Shape compelling narratives that bring business priorities, expertise and impact to life.
• Lead issues management by identifying emerging risks and advising on responses.
• Drive media engagement, including proactive story development, media enquiries and coverage monitoring.
• Develop communications strategies and briefs aligning audiences, messaging and channels.
• Collaborate with the national Communications team for consistent messaging and delivery.
• Measure communications effectiveness and use insights to strengthen future activity.
