Job summary

CoreStaff Darwin is seeking an experienced Senior Communications and Engagement Officer for a 3-month temporary contract. The role provides advice and services to program areas to meet strategic objectives and to develop and implement marketing, communication and community engagement activities.

You will lead stakeholder relationships, write and edit across publications and digital channels, manage suppliers and projects, and measure outcomes to improve future activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Marketing, Communications or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience.
• Current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
• Ability to obtain a National Police Records Check.
• Proven experience in communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration across internal and external partners.
• Develop and implement communications, marketing and engagement strategies aligned with our clients strategic goals.
• Write, edit and provide communications advice across publications, newsletters, brochures, media releases, websites and social media.
• Coordinate advertising and promotional activities across traditional and digital media channels.
• Ensure brand and policy compliance, maintaining best-practice standards across communications, marketing and engagement.
• Manage external suppliers and consultants, including designers, developers, photographers, videographers, editors and printers.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring communications projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Measure and report on communications effectiveness, using outcomes and feedback to improve future activities.
• Support the PR and External Affairs function through research, copywriting and editing of media releases, public notices, briefing notes, speeches and other external communications.
• Contribute to a positive and safe team environment, including collaboration, meetings, performance processes, flexibility, records management and compliance with WHS requirements.
