Job summary

IFM Investors in Melbourne seeks an Associate Director, Strategic Communications to lead the development and delivery of the global enterprise narrative, strengthening IFM’s reputation and helping capital raising.

You will work with Corporate Communications, Government and Stakeholder Relations, investment teams, Policy, Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure clear objectives, consistent messaging, and measurable impact across markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic communications.
• Experience in investment management or financial services in global organisations.
• Crisis communications, reputation and issues management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for a variety of targeted audiences.
• Demonstrated media relations with financial and investment outlets/journalists.
• Understanding of investment management, superannuation, and IFM Investors’ market positioning.
• Understanding of global capital markets and Australian superannuation ecosystem.
• Depth of corporate strategic communications or corporate affairs experience; strategy development and execution.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to articulate risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver IFM’s global enterprise narrative and lead strategic communications priorities from strategy through execution and evaluation.
• Position IFM as a trusted source of long‑term capital across markets.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Government & Stakeholder Relations, investment teams, Policy, Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure clear objectives and measurable impact.
