Job summary

Carnarvon Golf Club in Lidcombe, NSW, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of the club’s operations, including gaming, hospitality, functions, membership, marketing and financial management.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management and a proven track record of leading teams within member-based organisations. You will report to the Board and play a key role in shaping the club’s future.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within clubs, hospitality, gaming or member-based organisations.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience leading, developing and mentoring teams.
• Strong marketing, member engagement and business development skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working with Boards and Committees.
• Highly organised with a structured planning, administration, reporting and project delivery approach.
• Ability to engage with regulators, government agencies and industry bodies on strategic matters.
• Strong governance, compliance and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while maintaining day-to-day excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Club's operations, including gaming, hospitality, functions, membership, marketing and financial management.
• Grow clubhouse patronage, enhance member experience and develop staff.
• Identify commercial opportunities and ensure responsiveness to member and guest needs.
• Contribute to significant strategic initiatives and long-term planning for the Club.
• Represent the Club's interests with regulators, government bodies, industry and community stakeholders.
