Job summary

The Sovereign Hill Museums Association in Ballarat invites applications for Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation, focusing on sustainability, governance and commercial performance.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will oversee planning, investments, risk management and financial systems to drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Significant senior financial leadership experience in complex, asset-intensive environments.
• Proven ability to improve financial performance, manage cash flow and deliver robust planning and reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating investments and managing financial risk.
• Experience leading teams and building collaborative relationships with executive and board colleagues.
• Knowledge of financial governance, regulatory compliance and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and governance across the organisation.
• Oversee investment evaluation, capital planning and financial risk management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to the CEO and Board.
• Oversee financial systems and IT investments aligned with strategy.
• Collaborate with CEO, Board and ELT to translate strategy into sustainable outcomes.
