Job summary

LagardèreAWPL is seeking a senior commercial professional to own category strategy across our Food Services and Grab & Go portfolio from our Sydney head office. You will drive sales growth, optimize margins and manage supplier relationships in a cross-functional environment.

You will develop pricing structures, menu architecture and range strategies while partnering with Operations, Culinary, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver commercially sound offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior commercial roles within foodservice, hospitality, retail or multi-site environments.
• Strong track record in managing sales, margins, pricing, costs and category performance.
• Experience developing category strategies, including product ranging, pricing and lifecycle management.
• Proven supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical ability to turn sales, margin, product mix and customer data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category plans to drive sales growth, profitability and long-term objectives.
• Analyse sales, margins, product mix and customer trends to identify opportunities.
• Lead pricing, menu strategy and value propositions for Food Services and Grab & Go concepts.
• Oversee product ranging, lifecycle management and range rationalisation.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, rebates, trading terms and promotions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Culinary, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Establish governance and reporting to support informed decisions and store execution.
• Provide clear commercial direction and build capability across teams.
