Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic transformation portfolio within a leading banking organisation in Melbourne. This role focuses on business outcomes and stakeholder collaboration rather than deep technical delivery.

You will work with senior leaders, external partners, and internal delivery teams to plan and implement initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, scope alignment, and measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex business change programs within large organisations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing relationships with external vendors, partners, or third-party organisations.
• Commercial acumen and ability to navigate contractual discussions confidently.
• Ability to operate between strategic planning and delivery execution.
• Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Understanding of technology and digital delivery environments without deep technical expertise.
• Financial services or banking experience highly regarded.
• Exposure to governance frameworks and committee reporting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic business and transformation initiatives.
• Manage project planning, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Engage and collaborate with senior business stakeholders, executives, and external partners.
