Optus is seeking an Associate Director, AI Product to lead the strategy, development and delivery of AI products that solve real business challenges and create measurable value. Qualifications

• You're a strategic and commercially minded product leader who is curious, customer-focused and passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
• Experience leading complex initiatives and influencing stakeholders across a large, matrixed organisation.
• Strong commercial and analytical acumen, using data to drive product decisions and outcomes.
• An understanding of risk, security and governance, with the ability to balance innovation with responsible delivery.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI, machine learning or emerging technologies, combined with a curiosity for exploring new opportunities and solving complex challenges.
• A collaborative mindset and passion for innovation, continuous improvement and customer-centric product development.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the strategy, vision and roadmap for AI products that create measurable business value.
• Lead cross-functional teams across product, engineering, data science and design to bring AI solutions from concept to adoption.
• Drive product discovery, user research and experimentation to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
• Prioritise initiatives by balancing customer needs, business outcomes, technical feasibility and strategic goals.
• Monitor product performance, using data and insights to optimise adoption, engagement and impact.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making across the organisation.
• Champion responsible AI practices and identify opportunities to unlock value through emerging technologies.
