Job summary

Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) is seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to join the Finance team in Perth. You will provide timely and insightful financial information to support strategic decision making and act as a trusted adviser to the Minerals business, including senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

You will drive key reporting, planning, technical accounting and compliance activities, and champion automation initiatives to improve accuracy and speed.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Membership of CAANZ, CPA Australia, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, accurate financial and non-financial reporting for WesCEF Minerals.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic financial insight and support investment and growth decisions.
• Lead management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning activities.
• Provide technical accounting advice for complex and non-routine transactions.
• Maintain governance and reporting for joint ventures and partnerships.
• Drive automation and process improvements using AI, analytics and digital tools.
• Coach and develop team members and promote a safe, collaborative work environment.
