Job summary

The Hobart-based Accountant role offers broad exposure across multiple entities, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance. You will work with the Finance Manager to drive month-end processes, manage cashflow and provide insightful commentary to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience within a broad accounting or finance position.
• Strong month-end accounting and reconciliation capability.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Knowledge of GST, compliance and audit processes.
• Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
• Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A desire to contribute to business improvement and operational success.

Responsibilities

• Driving month-end reporting, reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Preparing management reports, analysis and financial commentary.
• Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and intercompany accounting.
• Supporting tax, compliance and audit requirements.
• Identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
• Partnering with stakeholders to support business performance and informed decision-making.
