Searson Buck has partnered with a growing Tasmanian business to recruit an Accountant in Hobart. The role covers multiple entities and broad finance responsibilities beyond processing numbers.

You'll work with the Finance Manager on reporting, budgeting, cashflow, compliance and business performance analyses, gaining visibility and influence across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience within a broad accounting or finance position.
• Strong month-end accounting and reconciliation capability.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Knowledge of GST, compliance and audit processes.
• Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
• Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A desire to contribute to business improvement and operational success.

Responsibilities

• Driving month-end reporting, reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Preparing management reports, analysis and financial commentary.
• Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and intercompany accounting.
• Supporting tax, compliance and audit requirements.
• Identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
• Partnering with stakeholders to support business performance and informed decision-making.
