TasTAFE is seeking a Communications Officer to join its Marketing and Communications team in Hobart. You will identify compelling stories and turn them into content across digital, social and traditional media channels.

You’ll work with TasTAFE teams and external partners to highlight the impact of vocational education and engage diverse audiences with written, photo, video and digital content.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, media or related field with a relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging content for digital, social media and traditional media.
• Strong editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organisational and deadline-driven work approach.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsabilités

• Identify and develop positive stories showcasing TasTAFE learners, teachers, industry partners and achievements.
• Create content for social media, websites, internal newsletters, media releases, articles and other channels.
• Support internal and external communications strategies.
• Research information and liaise with stakeholders to develop content and assist with media enquiries.
• Prepare and review communications materials including speeches and ministerial briefings.
• Coordinate photography and video content with the Digital Content Creator.
• Assist in planning graduation ceremonies, awards events and campaigns.
