Job summary

Blacktown City Council seeks a Stormwater Engineer to join the Section 7.11 Design Team. You will design major regional detention and bioretention basins, wetlands, sediment ponds, trunk drainage systems and pipes, while managing projects from investigation to construction documentation.

You will assess development applications and provide technical advice to planners and stakeholders, ensuring safe, sustainable growth for Blacktown City.

Qualifications

• Experience designing detention basins, bioretention basins, wetlands and trunk drainage systems.
• Ability to manage projects from investigation through to construction documentation.
• Provide technical advice to planners and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design major regional detention and bioretention basins, wetlands, sediment ponds and trunk drainage systems.
• Model hydrology, hydraulics and water quality for proposed schemes.
• Assess development applications and review impacts on regional infrastructure.
