Job summary

GPH Recruitment Kalgoorlie is seeking a Stores Person / Purchasing Officer for their Store based in Coolgardie. The successful candidate will manage stores and all store related items. This full-time position involves responsibilities such as purchasing activities, inventory control, and housekeeping.

The role requires a valid C class driver's licence and a current National Police Clearance. With transport provided to and from the site, this flat casual payrate position allows for the opportunity to transition from temp to perm for the suitable candidate.

• Experience within the mining industry advantageous.

Job description

GPH Recruitment Kalgoorlie requires a Stores Person / Purchasing Officer for a locally based mining contractor for their Store based in Coolgardie.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stores and all store related items from components, parts and receipting of goods.

This is a Monday-Friday position working up to 9 hours per day on a flat casual payrate, with the opportunity to go temp to perm for the suitable candidate.

Transport supplied to and from site each day.

Candidates’ duties are as follows:

• Manage purchasing activities & stock control
• Manage link between customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing and effective inventory control.
• Administer all paperwork and delivery notes
• Housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Successfully complete purchase requisitions
• Some pick up and deliveries required from suppliers
• Current C class or above driver licence
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Ability to pass or provide a pre - employment medical within the last 12 months
• Ability to pass or provide a recent LAB drug screen within the last 28 days
• Experience within the mining industry advantageous
• Have a high regard for health and safety in the workplace
