GEARS Mining, an Australian family-owned company, is seeking a Storeperson/Trades Assistant to manage receiving, warehousing and dispatch. The role requires forklift licensing, strong safety discipline, and ability to operate inventory systems while maintaining accuracy.

The successful candidate will contribute to loading/unloading, stock organisation, packing, and regular stocktakes, collaborating with warehouse and workshop teams to ensure timely, safe delivery of goods across sites.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence essential.
• Experience in warehouse operations and stock control.
• Ability to lift and move stock safely.

Responsabilités

• Unloading and loading goods from courier and delivery services safely and efficiently while checking accuracy and item condition.
• Safely stacking and organizing stock within the warehouse area.
• Labelling and packing stock items.
• Complete regular stocktakes to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
• Picking and packing orders for exports, local shipments, and third-party requirements.
• Receiving stock into the Inventory System accurately and on time.
• Maintain high physical fitness for regular lifting and movement.
• Understand chain of responsibility for restraints and strapping procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment at all times.

Due to continuous business growth and ongoing customer demand, GEARS Mining requires a highly motivated Storeperson / Trades Assistant to take responsibility for the receiving, warehousing and dispatching of goods to meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities and Duties.

• Unloading and loading goods from courier and delivery services safely & efficiently while also checking for accuracy and condition of items
• Safely stacking and organising stock within the warehouse area
• Labelling and packing of stock items
• Complete regular stocktakes to ensure continuous accuracy of stock and availability
• Picking and packing orders for exports, local shipments, & third-party requirements
• Receiving stock into our Inventory System accurately and on time
• High Level of physical fitness and capable of regular lifting/movement
• Have basic understanding of chain of responsibility with regards to restraints & strapping procedures
• Possess high safety focus pertaining to machinery operation
• Keeping the warehouse in a clean and safe state at all times

Candidate Experience and Key Attributes

• Forklift Licence (essential)

• Computer literate - experience and confidence using computers and operating systems such as Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Highly motivated and strives for personal, professional, and organisational growth
• Willingness to learn and assist within the Warehouse & Workshop Teams as needed
• Experience working with technical drawings and mechanically minded
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in the warehouse industry
• High level of autonomy, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
