Job summary

Torque Enterprises Pty Ltd seeks a reliable Storeperson to join the Mackay team. This hands-on role focuses on stock accuracy and warehouse organisation, with safe operations as a priority.

The successful candidate will manage goods receipts, stock put-away, picking/packing, and local deliveries. Experience with inventory systems and a forklift LF will be valued; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Manual HR Driver’s Licence is essential.
• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) required.
• Previous experience in stores or warehouse role.
• OPTO experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, invoices and parts lists.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Understanding of safe manual handling practices.
• Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Inwards goods receipting – checking goods against invoices and purchase orders.
• Receiving stock into OPTO inventory system.
• Repackaging goods and applying correct part number labels.
• Allocating and putting stock away into designated locations.
• Processing orders including picking, packing and preparing shipments.
• Actioning pick lists generated by Warehouse Operators as required.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock control systems.
• Conducting regular stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Completing local deliveries and pickups.
• Acting as backup delivery driver and assisting with overflow/urgent deliveries.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and WHS-compliant stores area.
• General warehouse duties and ad hoc tasks.
