Job summary

Toll Group is seeking a reliable Storeperson with LF Forklift License to join our Defence theatre logistics team at Garden Island, Potts Point NSW. You will support warehouse operations, inventory control, and the safe movement of Defence equipment.

Working under the Team Leader, you will use WMS and MHE, follow Defence regulations and safety protocols, and collaborate with a fast-paced, safety-focused team to meet operational targets and deliver Defence materials efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Valid forklift licence and ability to operate MHE safely.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain Defence clearance.
  • Ability to work outdoors in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Use warehouse systems to manage stock and action reports.

Storeperson - Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson with LF Forklift License to join our Defence logistics and warehousing team. This role is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling, and the safe movement of Defence-related equipment and materials.

Based at Garden Island Defence Precinct in Potts Points NSW, the successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where accuracy, accountability, reliability and teamwork are essential.

Duties will include use of WMS, MHE, inventory management, receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distribution of Defence equipment, supplies, and materials. Working under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Store Person Grade 2 ensures that all tasks are performed in compliance with Toll Government & Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

How you'll make the right impact
  • Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.

What you'll bring
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries (desirable but not essential).
  • A current forklift license (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A valid driver's license (C class).
  • Working outdoors to deliver stores and equipment to defence personnel in the field
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility to make the grade
  • You Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline level or higher depending on role).
  • Be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments.
