Job summary

United Steel Perth, WA is seeking a motivated Storeman to join our busy steel distribution team. This role focuses on safe handling, storage, and dispatch of steel products while ensuring warehouse operations run smoothly.

You will work closely with production, dispatch and sales to meet delivery requirements, maintain accurate stock records, and conduct regular stock takes. A current forklift license is essential, overhead crane license preferred, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Forklift license is essential.
• Overhead crane license or experience preferred.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel products.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load/unload trucks using forklifts and cranes if licensed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure safe storage of steel products and warehouse cleanliness.
• Collaborate with production, dispatch and sales to meet delivery requirements.
