Job summary

Blackwoods is hiring a Store Person to support warehouse operations in Orange, NSW. This hands‑on role focuses on receiving, stock control, picking and dispatching orders, and safe forklift usage.

You will assist with counter sales when required and maintain accurate records while upholding health and safety standards. Immediate start available for the right candidate with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or storeperson experience preferred.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• A high level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling.

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:20pm

About the Role

In this hands‑on position, you'll play a key role in ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock
• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Maintaining accurate inventory and stock records
• Assisting with counter sales and providing excellent customer service when required
• Keeping warehouse and store areas clean, organised and safe
• Following workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous warehouse or storeperson experience (preferred)
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) - essential
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Basic computer literacy
• A high level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
• A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
