Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Storeperson for an underground mining operation in the Mackay region. You will manage warehouse and materials activities, using SAP to track stock and coordinate loads while upholding strict safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years in mining warehouses, a forklift licence and a valid driver licence. Training for escort duties is provided, with a 7/7 DIDO roster and immediate start in a high-safety environment.

Qualifications

• Underground mining warehouse experience required.
• Forklift licence and valid driver licence.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Underground Standard 11 or willingness to obtain Coal Board Medical.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading trucks using forklifts and coordinate safe material movement.
• Coordinate goods receipt, stock control and inventory accuracy across the warehouse.
• Use SAP for warehouse and materials management activities.
• Maintain safety, compliance, accountability and efficient warehouse operations in an underground environment.
• Escort operations training provided where needed.

About Our Client:

Our client is a modern underground Bord and Pillar mining operation with a strong focus on safe, efficient and sustainable mining practices.

What you will be doing:

• Experience in mining warehouses operations within an underground environment.
• Use of SAPfor warehouse and materials management activities.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance, accountability and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
• Minimum 2 years mining experience.
• Current Driver Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Experience in escorting (not essential; training provided).
• Must have Underground Standard 11 or be willing to obtain - Must have or willing to obtain Coal Board Medical

What you will need:

• Warehouse and logistics activities, including coordination of personnel, vehicles, and drivers.
• Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and coordinating the safe movement of materials.
• Materials management, stock control, inventory accuracy, and discrepancy investigation.
• Picking, kitting and delivering materials to execution and maintenance teams.
• Goods receipting, issuing and stocktaking.
• Must have good communication skills with vendors and site-based operational teams.
• Adherence to warehouse procedures, SOPs, risk assessments, and safety requirements.
• Transport and logistics coordination, including direct loads and urgent freight movements.
