Job description

To demonstrate a high level of warehousing and inventory management skills. The Storeman reports to the Stores Supervisor and is responsible for warehouse operations including receiving, processing, storing, and dispatching stock products while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)

Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)

Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits

Check stock for damage and wear, report faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label stock

Process inbound and outbound shipments (e.g. sorting, loading and unloading goods)

Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places

Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment

Periodically inspect Forklift and Walker Stacker to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

About you

Receipting, ensuring quality checking of product coming into the facility from external vendors

Allocate parts to production orders and maintenance jobs

Order picking, packing, and despatching of orders

Putting away stock and rotate

Transport driver interaction, loading trucks and organising freight

Conduct stock checks and reconcile inventory records

Comply with OHS requirements

Thorough knowledge of Stores equipment and systems

Ability to work as a team player, working with a wide variety of personalities and situations whilst remaining professional and outcome focused

Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly with clients, management team, office team members, colleagues and clients

Experience and Knowledge

Experience performing receipting, dispatching, and warehouse maintenance administration using EXO or other similar ERP systems as well as Microsoft office

Sound inventory control experience with knowledge of KANBAN
