Job summary

Early Settler Group is seeking a hands-on Retail Store Person to support daily store operations, assist customers with order collections and help manage the back dock warehouse. You will contribute to a smooth customer experience and efficient stock handling in a busy retail environment.

The role involves manual handling of furniture items, teamwork, and a proactive approach to meet daily goals. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting warehousing and distribution.
• Good computer skills (email, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to lift, carry and move items safely.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive and driven with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load weekly trucks and containers with care and accuracy.
• Assist customers with order collections with a smile.
• Support stock movement for the shop floor and warehouse.
• Receipting of goods into the operating system.
• Assemble furniture with attention to detail.
• Uphold OH&S requirements.
• Maintain tidy, organized store and warehouse.
• Work as part of a collaborative team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

What is the Role?

Are you a hands-on go-getter who loves being on the move and thrives in a team environment? This is your chance to play a vital role that keeps our store humming - from the shop floor to the back dock!

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Retail Store Person to become the behind-the-scenes hero of our retail team. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll support daily retail operations, help customers collect their orders with a smile, and keep things running smoothly in the back-of-store warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading of weekly trucks and containers with precision and care
• Assisting customers with order collections - making it a seamless experience
• Supporting the retail sales team with stock/product movement for the shop floor
• Accurately receipting of goods into our operating system
• Assembly of furniture with pride and attention to detail
• Responsible for contributing to and upholding all OH&S requirements
• Maintaining good housekeeping techniques and an organized, safe and tidy store and warehouse
• To collaboratively work as part of a team, use your initiative, problem solve and handle a fast paced environment.

Skills and Experiences:

Who are we Looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar role supporting warehousing and distribution.
• Good Computer skills (email, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)
• A passion to help people and a desire to get results
• The physical capability to handle our products
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable, committed, proactive and driven with a can-do attitude
• As we are a furniture store, the role involves regular manual handling of products including lifting, carrying and moving items of varying sizes. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing these tasks as part of their daily duties.
