Universal Store is seeking a passionate Store Manager to lead a fast-paced Byron Bay store, with a focus on creating outstanding customer experiences and building a strong team culture.

The successful candidate will manage a Tuesday–Saturday roster, weekends included, and drive sales while ensuring profitability and high standards of presentation and service.

Qualifications

• Strong retail background with hands-on experience across shop floor and stockroom.
• Proven experience as a Store Manager, leading medium to large teams.
• Warm, energetic communicator who leads with positivity and purpose.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of retail profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day store operations with a strong and visible floor presence.
• Inspire, coach, and develop a large, diverse team to build future leaders.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences in line with Universal Store service standards.
• Drive sales performance and store profitability through strong cost and productivity management.
• Manage rostering, budgets, and scheduling to achieve business and payroll targets.
• Maintain visual merchandising, presentation standards, and overall store efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and support team members through clear, honest, and constructive feedback.
• Uphold and role-model Universal Store’s values, culture, and brand expectations.
