Job summary

Glascott Landscape & Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Stonemason to join our Lane Cove West NSW team. The successful applicant will replace defective stones, lay stones per plans, and undertake construction and repair of stone and masonry slabs with high precision.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in stonework, a Certificate III in Stonemasonry, and the ability to read drawings. The role requires physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks safely and accurately.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years work experience in stonework and installation.
• Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation) is required.
• Visualization: ability to envisage and implement aesthetic patterns in design and construction of stone structures.
• Physical strength to lift and work with heavy tools and materials.
• Physical stamina for long, rigorous tasks like lifting and aligning blocks.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective or missing stones on walls and structures.
• Lay stones according to construction plans or project specifications.
• Construct and repair stone and large masonry slabs.
• Cut, shape and install polished stones using machines and hand tools to high accuracy.

Glascott Landscape & Civil Pty Ltd is a specialist stone manufacturer and installer. We are currently recruiting for experienced Stonemason to join our team in Lane Cove West NSW . The successful applicant will need to possess and undertake:

• Replacing defective or missing stones on walls and structures
• Laying stones according to construction plans or project specifications
• Have a willingness to work
• Be punctual and responsible
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret drawings to fine specifications
• Experience in handling a range of materials, including difficult materials
• Construction and repair of stone and large masonry slabs
• Cutting, shaping and installing polished stones using machines and hand tools to high accuracy

Skills & Attributes:

• At least 3 years work experience in stonework and installation
• Complete a Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation)
• Visualization: able to envisage and implement aesthetic patterns in the design and construction of stone structures
• Physical Strength: able to lift and work with heavy tools and building materials
• Physical Stamina: perform the rigorous work task of lifting and aligning blocks for extended periods
