Home Delivery Services in Melbourne's Ravenhall depot is seeking an experienced Stock Controller. This full-time role combines forklift operation with system work to keep inventory accurate and the warehouse running smoothly.

You will own stock accuracy, perform daily checks, variances investigations, slotting, returns, and stocktakes, with occasional weekend work and days in lieu.

Qualifications

• LF forklift licence with double deep & high reach experience.
• Proven stock control/inventory management experience in warehousing or logistics.
• Experience with RF scanners and a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical problem-solving for variances.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including email management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate high reach forklift to move and check stock.
• Use RF scanners for inventory movements and checks.
• Make accurate WMS adjustments per procedures.
• Conduct daily stock checks and investigate variances.
• Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Slot products to optimise warehouse efficiency.
• Process damages and returns with inspection and putaway.
• Prepare and process donation and disposal orders.
• Manage day-to-day email with internal/external teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and warehouse standards.

Full-time | Monday to Friday | 2 Positions | 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm

HDS is one of Australia's fastest-growing logistics providers, supporting major retail and consumer brands nationwide. As our Victorian operations continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join the team at our Ravenhall depot. This is a hands-on role combining forklift and system work, with the majority of your time spent on the warehouse floor keeping our inventory accurate and our warehouse running efficiently.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll take ownership of stock accuracy across the site, from daily checks and variance investigations through to slotting, returns and stocktakes. You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in getting the numbers right.

Do note occasional weekend work may be required and days in lieu will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a high reach forklift to move, locate and check stock across the warehouse
• Using RF scanners for all inventory movements and checks
• Making accurate WMS adjustments in line with company procedures
• Carrying out daily stock checks and investigating variances to identify the root cause
• Assisting with planned stocktakes and cycle counts
• Slotting products to keep the warehouse efficient and optimised
• Processing damages and returns, including inspection, recording and putaway
• Preparing and processing donation and disposal ordersManaging day-to-day email communication with internal and external teams
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and warehouse standards

You'll Bring:

• Current LF (forklift) licence with double deep & high reach experience - essential
• Proven experience in stock control or inventory management within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Confidence using RF scanners and a warehouse management system (WMS)
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach to variances
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including managing email correspondence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
• A reliable, organised approach and a proactive attitude
