Elders is seeking a Stock Agent to join our Australian team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will support clients by preparing livestock for market, travelling the countryside in the iconic pink shirt and delivering expert sales insights.

We value a passion for livestock, strong customer service, and the drive to build new business. Training is provided to obtain necessary licences, and you’ll be part of a storied 185-year-old agribusiness with national reach.

Working both in-branch and travelling the countryside in the iconic pink shirt, Stock Agents assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients.ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clientsIdentifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunitiesDeveloping and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processorsProviding professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their businessEmploying tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers togetherMaximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community eventsAbout youTo excel at Elders, you:Are passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your communityHave a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handlingAre driven by sales and successAren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new businessHave an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clientsHave either a Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation, or the willingness to become licensed after undertaking training offered, free-of-charge, by EldersAbout EldersAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
