Job summary

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is seeking a motivated Steward to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain hygiene, support food venues, and work as part of a friendly, guest-focused team in a 5-star resort on the Port Douglas coast.

This part-time role requires good presentation and English, resilience under pressure, and flexibility for a 7-day rotating roster. We offer on-site parking, uniforms, meals discounts, social club, and generous hotel staff discounts across Marriott

Qualifications

• Good presentation, communication skills and fluency in English.
• Previous experience in a similar role (Preferred).
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work flexibly on a 7 day rotating roster.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising all areas of the kitchen and food venues, ensuring the standards for hygiene (HACCP) are met at all times
• Polish chafing dishes for banquets, BBQ functions and prepare carving stations as required.
• Set-up food venues in line with standard requirements for buffets, BBQ functions etc
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP principles and procedures at all times

Preferred applicants will require valid working rights to work in Australia. Sponsorship will not be available for this position
