Job summary

Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Tuggerah NSW is seeking a Sterilisation Technician to join our North Ryde hospital. This part-time role requires availability on Wednesday and Thursday with a flexible additional day to support the team.

You will operate autoclaves and sterilisation equipment, decontaminate instruments, dispose of infectious waste, and conduct quality-assurance testing to maintain sterile standards. Prior veterinary experience is desirable and certificate studies are underway.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Certificate III Sterilisation Services.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam autoclaves, H2O2 and/or EtO sterilisers.
• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean surgical instruments and equipment.
• Handle and dispose of infectious waste.
• Function-test surgical equipment.
• Perform quality-assurance testing to ensure sterility.
• Maintain sterile instrumentation inventory.
