Job summary

Patterson River Secondary College in Melbourne seeks a passionate Mathematics teacher to commence in 2027. The role may include Junior Maths, VCE General, VCE Methods, VCE Foundation and VCE Specialist, with full-time preferred and time fraction negotiable.

The college has strong NAPLAN numeracy results, a new STEM Centre, and a supportive professional learning community for maths teachers with mentors and induction programs.

Qualifications

• SC1: Knowledge of curriculum and literacy/numeracy teaching.
• SC2: Experience planning high impact teaching strategies.
• SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing student learning.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• SC5: Reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum with school programs.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings.
• Support school policies and co-curricular activities.
