Tintern Grammar invites applications for an experienced Mathematics and Physics Teacher to join our Ringwood East campus. The role is full-time and ongoing, commencing Term 1, 2027, with a commitment to high quality teaching across VCE Mathematics and Physics.

You will differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular programs, and engage with colleagues to support the broader life of the school. Current VIT registration is required.

About the Role

Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Mathematics and Physics Teacher with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will contribute positively to the broader life and culture of the School. Experience teaching VCE Mathematics, particularly Specialist Mathematics, and/or VCE Physics is highly desirable.

As a key member of our teaching team, you will deliver engaging and rigorous Mathematics and Physics curriculum, supported by strong subject knowledge and contemporary pedagogical practice. You will use a range of teaching strategies to engage students with diverse learning needs and confidently differentiate the curriculum to support and challenge individual learners.

You will bring a genuine passion for Mathematics and Physics and, above all, a commitment to engaging, connecting with and caring for our students. You will also contribute to the pastoral care, co-curricular programs and broader life of the School.

This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, and experience in teaching Mathematics. You will demonstrate:

• Care and connectedness with students
• Current VIT registration
• Experience teaching VCE Mathematics/Specialist Mathematics is desirable
• Experience teaching Physics an advantage
• Strong IT skills with experience with Casio Classpad an advantage
• Ability to encourage and motivate your students
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• You will have demonstrated knowledge of the subject within the VCE and Australian Curriculum Frameworks where relevant
• You will encourage students to take risks within a structured school environment, to make individual choices and to use new experiences as learning opportunities
• You will have a desire to work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engage in the broader life of the School
