Job summary

Grace Lutheran Primary School – Clontarf QLD is seeking a part‑time STEM & AV Education Assistant to join our learning community. You will support students and teachers with STEM activities, digital technologies and AV tasks across events and classes.

The role is approx. 26 hours per week during term time, with some extra hours for events. Start date is immediate for the right applicant. You will work alongside the STEM teacher and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Information or Digital Technology, AV/Media or Education Support, or equivalent industry experience.
• Current eligibility to work in Australia.
• Current Blue Card, or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.
• Demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing, with the ability to uphold school policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support engaging STEM and Digital Technologies activities.
• Assist students with hands‑on projects, coding, robotics and STEM experiences.
• Work with individuals and small groups under teacher direction.
• Set up, maintain and organise STEM equipment and learning spaces.
• Support safe and effective use of technology and equipment.
• Operate audio‑visual equipment for Chapel, assemblies, presentations and performances.
• Set up and operate sound desks, microphones, speakers and projectors.
• Provide technical support for school events and performances.
• Undertake playground and student supervision duties as required.
