Job summary

Workforce International in Kurri Kurri is seeking a skilled Steel Fixer for a casual role across a variety of projects. You will cut, bend, and assemble reinforcement bars and mesh to project specs, tie and fix steel in place, and work safely to industry standards.

You must have demonstrated experience as a Steel Fixer, hold an OHS White Card, and be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen. Overtime is available, with 5 days per week and potential for permanency for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, and assemble steel reinforcement bars and mesh according to project requirements.
• Tie and fix steel reinforcement in place, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure that all work is completed to industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to coordinate the efficient and timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all site safety protocols.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our team in Kurri Kurri. This is a casual role, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects. Whilst this role is of course open to people with high levels of steel fixing experience, applicants with varying levels of experience in this field are also welcomed.

• $39.11 - $40.97/hour + Applicable overtime

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience as a Steel Fixer
• MUST have OHS White card
• MUST be able to pass a functional assessment including drug and alcohol screening
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
