Job summary

Fleetwood Australia is seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join the Design & Estimating team in Melbourne. You will produce detailed BIM models and fabrication drawings, undertake steel detailing for modular construction, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.

You will collaborate across engineering, estimating, manufacturing and project teams to deliver accurate documentation on time, contributing to innovative modular construction solutions across Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in steel detailing or related role.
• Structural drafting/engineering background with an understanding of AS/NZS1170, AS/NZS2312, AS4100.
• Experience producing fabrication documentation and BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed BIM models and fabrication shop drawings.
• Prepare cut lists, drawing registers and fabrication documentation.
• Conduct structural load assessments using analysis tools.
• Interpret project briefs, specs and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with Design & Estimating, Manufacturing, Procurement and Projects.
• Ensure documentation complies with Australian Standards and QA processes.
