Job summary

Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a Statutory Planner to join the Planning & Building Department on a full-time permanent basis. You will handle statutory planning, enforcement, and subdivision control, with a strong focus on customer service and compliance with planning legislation, including WSUD/ESD considerations.

Hybrid working arrangements are available, with a focus on delivering timely, quality planning outcomes. Closing date is 11 November 2026.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Statutory Planning and/or Planning Enforcement.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with statutory planning and enforcement tasks and assessments in line with planning schemes and legislation.
• Prepare and present evidence for hearings and respond to inquiries from applicants and stakeholders.
• Prepare timely reports and correspondence for the department and public.

Education
