Job summary

Consolidated Pastoral Company Pty Ltd – Biloela QLD is seeking an experienced Station Leader to oversee day-to-day operations at Allawah Stud. Lead a small team, manage cattle husbandry, and support seedstock breeding programs while ensuring accurate livestock records and high welfare standards.

You will coordinate mustering, handling, calving and weaning activities, report to the Property Manager, and promote safety and environmental compliance on a busy cattle station in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles.
• Strong cattle handling and livestock husbandry skills.
• Experience leading, supervising and developing a small team.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Sound computer literacy.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
• A current Advanced First Aid certificate.
• A strong commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the property manager in coordinating day to day property operations.
• Lead and supervise a small station team and contractors.
• Coordinate cattle husbandry, mustering, drafting, processing, joining, calving and weaning activities.
• Support CPC's seedstock breeding program and ensure accurate livestock identification and record keeping with programs on Stockbook and Helical.
• Promote high standards of animal welfare, low-stress livestock handling and workplace safety.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and practical safety discussions.
• Monitor livestock condition, feed, water, pasture and seasonal conditions.
• Oversee water infrastructure inspections and maintenance, including bores, pipelines, tanks, troughs and pumps.
• Assist with fencing, yards, plant, vehicles, machinery and general property maintenance.
• Maintain accurate livestock, treatment, movement, maintenance and compliance records.
• Support biosecurity, chemical handling, environmental and operational compliance requirements
