Logical Staffing Solutions in Australia is seeking a dynamic State Operations Manager to lead transport operations, drive safety and compliance, and build strong client relationships. This role requires at least five years of leadership in transport, with experience in logistics management within outsourced providers or large manufacturing.

You will guide a team, improve efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop profitable service options.

Qualifications

Five+ years of experience leading a transport operations team.
Experience in transport/logistics management, ideally with an outsourced logistics provider or a large manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of industrial relations, compliance regulations, and safety management.
Ability to analyse reports, manage profitability, and drive operational improvements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate IT proficiency and familiarity with logistics platforms.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership – Manage transport operations, safety risk management, and fleet maintenance.
Team & Resource Management – Lead and develop staff, ensuring efficient use of key reporting systems and KPIs.
Customer & Business Development – Strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring high service levels and profitability.
Compliance & Safety - Ensure adherence to NHVAS policies, fatigue management, and chain of responsibility legislation.
Continuous Improvement – Contribute to business growth and process improvements.
