Job summary

Ampersand Ltd is seeking an experienced Events Manager in Sydney to own the firm’s events program from brief to delivery. You’ll work with partners and senior stakeholders to plan client, industry and internal events, managing invitations, venues, catering and on-the-day logistics.

You’ll bring hands-on, proactive energy, strong organisational and budget skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-profile events within a partnership environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering events from start to finish, ideally in a law firm.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate client, industry and internal events end-to-end.
• Work with partners and senior stakeholders to understand objectives and deliver events.
• Manage guest lists, invitations, venues, catering and logistics.
• Develop event concepts and promotional activity to maximise attendance and engagement.
• Source, brief and manage external suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate costs and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Prepare and track event budgets to stay on track.
• Manage events on the day and handle last-minute changes gracefully.
• Report on attendance, feedback and outcomes after events.
• Identify opportunities to improve the events program and bring fresh ideas.
